to the members of the ward

Ald CF Gildersleeve moves seconded by Ald Gaskin
That the petition of Patrick Delaney and others be referred to
the Committee on Streets to report
Which being put was lost and the original motion was
carried
Ald Harty from the Committee on Finance and Accounts
brought up a Report (Number 3, Book E) which was read
and adopted
The Chairman from the Committee on back taxaes brought
up a Report (Number 4, Book E) which was read and adopted
Ald Gaskin from the Joint Committee on Fire, Water and Gas
and Streets brought up a Report which was read
Ald Gaskin moves seconded by Ald Fee
That the Report of the Joint Committee on Fire,
Water and Gas and Streets be received and adopted
In amendment 1st
Ald Snook moves seconded by Ald CF Gildersleeve
That the Report be amended and that the tender
of Robert Thompson be accepted, carrying out the scheme
proposed of watering the thoroughfares at the general expense
when funds applicable
In amendment 2nd
Ald Clements moves seconded by Ald JP Gildersleeve
That the Street watering be done by the Fire Department
horses at the general expense of the city when funds applicable
In amendment 3rd
Ald Harty moves seconded by Ald Pense
That the question of the watering of the streets
be referred back to the Joint committee of Fire, Water and Gas
and Streets and that said committees be requested to report to a
special meeting of this Council at an early day some feasable
scheme for watering streets within certain limits either at the general
expense of this corporation or under a properly submitted Frontage
