in reference to Buoys in Harbour being removed

On motion of Ald Gaskin seconded by Ald CF Gildersleeve
Ordered, That the Communication of Alex Smyth Harbour
Master in reference to Buoys in Harbour be referred to Committee on
Harbour with power to act

On motion of Ald Irving seconded by Ald Maloney
Ordered, That the Communication of R Waddell and others
be referred to the Mayor

Ald CF Gildersleeve brought up the petition of Anthony McGuire
asking for remission of a portion of his Butchers license

On motion of Ald CF Gildersleeve seconded by Ald Irving
Ordered, That the petition of Anthony McGuire be referred
to the Committee on Licenses to report

Ald Dupuis brought up the petition of John McNaughton and
others in reference to the watering of streets

On motion of Ald CF Gildersleeve seconded by Ald Snook
Ordered, That the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas,
and on Streets as a joint committee be empowered to advertise for
the watering of the streets mentioned in the paper attached
hereto and report same at next meeting of Council and that
such Joint Committee at the said next meeting report to the
Council a scheme for watering streets.

Ald Allen brought up the petition of John Wall praying
for permission to build a boat house at foot of King Street

On motion of Ald Allen seconded by Ald Anglin
Ordered, That the petition of John Wall be referred to
the Committee on Streets to report

Ald Dupuis brought up the petition of Alex Smyth Harbour
Master asking the Council to build him a boat house

On motion of Ald Dupuis seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That the petition of Alex Smyth Esq Harbor
Master be referred to the Committee on Wharves and Harbour to
report

Ald Allen brought up the petition of Edward Law praying
for exemption from taxation on his rope manufatory for ten years

On motion of Ald Allen seconded by Ald Maloney
Ordered, That the petition of Edward Law be
referred to the Committee on Finance to report

Ald Allen brought up the petition of Andrew Rankin
and others asking for a Coal Oil Lamp on the corner of Rideau
and Dufferin Streets

On motion of Ald Allen seconded by Ald Anglin
Ordered, That the petition of Andrew Rankin and
others be referred to the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas to
report

Ald Allen brought up the petition of WB & S Anglin praying
for a reduction in their assessment on Saw and Planing Mill

On motion of Ald Allen seconded by Ald Maloney
Ordered
