the amount available in the funds

Which being put was lost, the first amendment being put was carried
and the Report was adopted as amended

The Chairman from the Committee on Back Taxes brought up a
Report (Number 776 Book D Number 2) which was read and adopted.

That the Council do now go into Committee of the whole
on the second reading of the By Law respecting the Office of City
Commission

Ordered, That the Collectors be instructed to submit a statement of
the amount of taxes due from each ward with the name of the parties
who are yet in arrear.

Ald JP Gildersleeve gives notice of his intention to introduce at
the next meeting of this Council "A By Law to provide for the
maintenance and care of Public Parks" and that this be considered
the first reading of the By Law

Ald Allen introduced a By Law relating to Street lines
Which was read a first time
On motion of Ald McGuire seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That the City Engineer be instructed to report to the
Mayor at once, whether the street Railway Company are in default
under Article 20 of their agreement with the City land if they are that
His Worship shall instruct said Engineer to proceed under Article 20 to
cause the necessary repairs to be done.

The 29th rule was suspended and the Council went into Committee
of the whole on the second reading of the By Law

Council resumed. The Committee rose and the Chairman reported to
second reading of the By Law in Committee

The Report was received
The By Law was read a third time and passed
