(Number 756 Book D Number 2) which was read

On motion of Ald CF Gildersleeve seconded by Ald Gaskin
Ordered, That the report of the Select Committee on
Municipal Amendments be received and adopted and the petition
referred to be signed by the Mayor and forwarded to the Legislature
of Ontario

On motion of Ald Snook seconded by Ald CF Gildersleeve
Ordered, That in view of economy and expedite proceedings
this Council deem it expedient that all appeals against Corrections
for infratctions of Municpal By Laws (Not being a crime be
made to the County Judge to be tried by him summarily
in Chambers and that the Parliament of Ontario be memorialized
therefor

Ald McIntyre moves seconded by Ald Allen
That the Mayor and Ald CJ GIldersleeve, Snook,
Harty and the mover be a delegation to want as the Attorney
General in Toronto to press the subject of the petition just
adopted and to proceed thither when His Worship shall
designate after due Communication with Toronto as to the
proper time if the Mayor after Communicatioan with the City
member, think a delegation unnecessary then said Committee
not to proceed

In amendment
Ald Harty moves seconded by Ald McGuire
That if it is necessary to send a deputation to
Toronto to support the petition of this Council in reference
to Market Tolls that the Mayor and Aldermen
CF Gildersleeve and McIntyre form such deputation
which being put was lost Yeas 7 Nays 10

The original motion being put was carried
Yeas 11 Nays 6

On motion the Council adjourned
