and two others praying the assessment for the extension of Montreal
street be not enforced nor levied against them &c

Ald McMahon moves seconded by Ald Pense
That the petition of William Martin and others be
referred to the Committee on Streets to report

In amendment
Ald McIntyre moves seconded by Ald Allen
That the Committee on Streets take into consideration
all the cases of street opening and extension in addition to
the case of Montreal street and report thereon - which
being put was carried and the original motion was lost

praying he may be allowed until the spring to build brick
around his Blacksmiths shop.
