That the sum of FIfty dollars be given to Mr H
Youlden on account of extra duties performed by him in
connection with the City Fire Alarm during the past year which
being put was lost

Ald Pense brought up the petition of Donald
McKay respecting taxes. Referred to the Committee
on Finance to report.

On motion the Council adjourned.

The Clerk read the minutes of the three last meetings

A communication from RC McCorquodale was
read asking about what bonus will Kingston give for
the erection of two twenty five tons furnaces.

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald McGuire
Ordered, That the communication of RC McCorquodale
be referred to the Finance Committee to report.

A communication from the Lord Mayor of London
was read on the subject of the National Memorial to
Sir Rowland Hill, the founder of the Penny hostage system.

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Pense
Ordered, That the communication of the Lord
Mayor of London be referred to the Committee on Finance
and Accounts
