Ald McIntyre brought up the petition of Marta
Neely praying for remuneration for injuries sustained years
ago by a fall near the Bridge on Princess Street

On motion of Ald McIntyre seconded by Ald McRossie
Ordered, That the petition of Marta Neely be
referred to the Committee on Finance and Account to report.

The Chairman from the Court of Revision brought
up a Report (Number 747 Book D Number 2) which
was read and adopted.

Ald Harty from the Finance Committee brought
up a Report (Number 748 Book D Number 2) marked
Oct which was read

On motion of Ald Harty seconded by Ald Pense
Ordered, That the Report No 1 of the Committee on
Finance and Accounts be received and adopted and that
the action of the Court of Revision in connection with certain
taxes on non-resident lands by which such taxes (a
statement whereof is appended to said Report) have been
heretofore written off the City Books be and is hereby
confirmed by this Council.

Ald Harty from the Committee on Finance and
Accounts brought up a Report (Number 749 Book D
Number 2) marked No 2 which was read

Ald Harty moves seconded by Ald McKelvey
That Report (Number 2) of the Committee on
Finance and Accounts be received and adopted.

In amendment
Ald Gaskin moves seconded by Ald Allen
That the portion of Finance report which recommends
the appointment of Allan Chadwick be erased for the reason
that it would be unfair for a dying Council to make
any appointment saddling the incoming Council with
expenditure which they are not responsible for to the p[eople
which being put was lost
