On motion of Ald Pense seconded by Ald Irving
Ordered, That the appointment of Returning
Officers and selection of polling places be the first
order of business at next meeting after the reading of
petitions.
The Council went into Committee of the Whole
on the second reading of the By Law to amend the By
Law relating to the Harbor of the City of Kingston.
Ald Pense in the Chair
The Council resumed.
The Committee rose reported progress and asked leave
to sit again. The report was received.
On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Harty
Ordered, That the Clerk do cause to have inserted
in each of the City daily papers, three insertions, a notice
to the effect that this Council is about to pass a By Law
changing the line of the Harbor and drawing the
attention of Wharf Owners to the fact.
The Council went into Committee of the Whole on the
second reading of the By Law to amend the Schedule of
the By Law entitled An Act relating to the Streets in the City
of Kingston

The Council resumed.
The Committee rose, reported progress and asked leave to sit
again. The report was received.
On motion of Ald Pense seconded by Ald Gaskin
Ordered, That the Mayor, Aldmn Carson, McKelvey,
Gaskin, Snook, Harty, McIntyre be a special committee
to consider the draft of frontage By Law and to report at
a special meeting on Monday evening next.
On motion the Council adjourned.
