The Report was received.
The By Law was read a third time and passed.
On motion of Ald McRossie seconded by Ald McKelvey
Ordered, That the Special Collector appointed to collect
the back taxes for the years 1874, 1875, 1876, 1877 and 1878 be required
to complete and return the rolls for the said years on or before
the second Monday of December next.
On motion the Council adjourned.

A meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City
of Kingston was held this day. Present
His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen Anglin, Carson, Drennan, Gaskin,
Gildersleeve, Harty, Irving, Mooers,
McCammon, McIntyre, McKelvey, McRossie,
Pense, Redden, Wilson
The Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting
A communication from Mr. Charles Ireland Auditor
of the Books of the late Collector of Taxes was read
submitting statements and returns for the years 1874,
1875, 1876, 1877, and 1878 and showing balances collected.
On motion of Ald Pense seconded by Ald Harty
Ordered, That the Special Audit Report on
the Collectors Books be referred to the Committee on
Finance.
A communication of James Lawless respecting
back taxaes was read.
On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald Pense
Ordered, That the communication of James
Lawless be referred to the Committee on back taxes
to report.
Aldermen McGuire and Snook here entered.
A communication from Edwin Horsey, Chief
Fire Department was read asking for a donation
to the benevolent fund of the Fire Department.
On motion of Ald McCammon seconded by Ald Gaskin
Ordered, That the Communication of Chief Horsey
be referred to the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas to report
Ald Fee here entered
