Ald Drennan brought up the petition of the Trustees of
Chalmers Church respecting frontage.

On motion of Ald Drennan seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That the petition of the Trustees of Chalmers
Church be referred to the Committee on Streets to report.

Ald Drennan brought up the petition of the Heirs of the
Estate of the late John Burley praying for the restoration of
Trap door.

On motion of Ald Drennan seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That the petition of the Heirs of the Estate
of the late John Burley be referred to the Committee on Streets
to report.

Ald McRossie brought up the petition of John Neil respecting
taxes.

Ald Gilersleeve brought up the petition of Anna E Conlon
respecting taxes.

Ald Harty brought up the petiton of the Staenaffe Smith
respecting taxes.

Ald McIntyre brought up the petition of Eliza Grimason
respecting taxes.

On motion of Ald McRossie seconded by Ald McKelvey
Ordered, That the petition of John Neill and others be
referred to the Court of Revision.

Ald McKelvey brought up the petition of Thomas Conley
on the costs appeal case Alfred Lemmon.

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Wilson
Ordered, That the petition of Thomas Conley be
referred to the Committee on Finance to report.

Ald McIntyre brought up the petition of John Lauder
respecting frontage

On motion of Ald McIntyre seconded by Ald Carson
Ordered, that the petition of John Lauder be
referred to the Committee on Streets to report

Ald Drennan from the Committee on Finance
and accounts brought up a Report (Number 731 Book D No 2)
which was read.

Ald Drennan moves seconded by Ald Carson
That the report of the Committe on Finance be
received and adopted.

In amendment
Ald McIntyre moves seconded by Ald Allen
That in amendment to the last clause of the report
in the opinion of This Council one Collector is sufficient for
the year 1879 for the Collector of Taxes which being put
was lost. Yeas 7 Nays 14 and the original motion being
put was carried - Yeas 16 Nays 5

Ordered, That this Council pay to the widow of
