Ordered, That the petition of James Nesbitt
be referred to the Committee on the Market to report.

Ald McCammon brought up the petition of LJ
Kirkpatrick respecting taxes.

On motion of Ald McCammon seconded by Ald Pense
Ordered, That the pettion of LJ Kirkpatrick be
referred to the Court of Revision

Ald Anglin brought up the petition of Peter
Lamoreaux repsecting taxes.

On motion of Ald Anglin seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That the petition of Peter Lamoreaux
with reference to taxes be referred to the Court of Revision.

Ald Carson from the Committee on Finance and
accounts brought up a Report (Number 724 Book D No 2)
which was read. The communication of John Power was also read.

Ald Carson moves seconded by Ald Drennan.
That the report of the Committee on Finance
and accounts be received and adopted.

In amendment
Ald Snook moves seconded by Ald McGuire
That the report be amended by expunging
the part thereof for the payment of the Commissioners for
appraising property in respect of Montreal, Grove and Division
streets which being put was carried. Yeas - 16 , Nays - 4
and the original resolution with the words "as amended "
added being put was also carried

On motion of Ald Pense seconded by Ald Redden
Ordered, That the assessors of Property
lying near the new streets be ordered to comply with the
By Law by filing their report with the City Clerk.

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets and
Improvements brought up a Report (Number 725 Book D No 2)
which was read

A point of order being raised. They Mayor decided the
clause in the Report respecing the petition of William D Graves
was not in order.

Ald Carson moves seconded by Ald McRossie
That the report of the Committee on Streets and
Improvements be received and adopted except the portion
in regard to D Graves ruled out of order. The amount for the
drain on Sand street not to exceed $600.

In amdment
Ald Snook moves seconded by Ald McGuire
That the report be amended by adding that the
amount for the drain be charged to Rideau and Victoria
Wards appropriations of next year which being put was
carried. Yeas - 12; Nays - 6
