Ald Wilson brought up the petition of WR McRae & Co
respecting frontage.

On motion of Ald Wilson seconded by Ald McDermott
Ordered, That the petition of WR McRae be
referred to the Committee on Streets to report at next meeting
of the Council.

Ald McDermott brought up the petition of Michael
Sullivan praying for a remission of taxes on 'St Mary's of the
Lake'.

On motion of Ald McDermott seconded by Ald Wilson
Ordered that the petition of Dr Sullivan be
referred to the Court of Revision with power to act.

Ald Harty from the Committee on Finance and
Accounts brought up a Report (Number 720 Book D No 2)
which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets and
Improvements brought up a Report (Number 721 Book D
No 2) which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water,
and Gas brought up a Report (Number 722 Book D
No 2) which was read and adopted.

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Gaskin
Ordered, That the Mayor ascertain from the owner of the
vacant lot on Brock street between Montreal and Clergy street the
price said lot can be purchased for also the terms.

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Pense
Ordered, That the City Engineer do report to
this Council the amount expended in each Ward out of
the Ward approporiations said report to be submitted not
later than the next regular meeting of this Council

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Harty
Ordered, That the Treasurer do report to this
Council at its next meeting the amount received by him
on account of Dog tax during the present year.

The Council went into Committe of the whole on the
second reading of the By Law to amend the schedule of
the By Law entitled An Act relating to the Streets in the
City of Kingston passed Wednesday Oct 1 1856
