A Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City
of Kingston was held this day. Present

His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen
Allen, Anglin, Carson, Fee, Gaskin, Harty,
Mooers, McCammon, McDermott, McGuire,
McIntyre, McKelvey, Pense, Redden, Snook,
Wilson

The Clerk read the minutes of the three last meetings
which were approved.

A communication from Alfred Le Richeux Deputy
Registrar Kingston was read on the subject of the heating
of the City Registrar's office.

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Harty
Ordered, That the communication of A LeRicheux
be referred to the Committee on City Property and the Mayor
they to make the necessary arrangements with the County
Council to have the City Registry office heated from
the boiler now belonging to the County.

A communication from Edwin Horsey, Chief of the
Fire Department was read asking for the members of the
Fire Department six months salary due them

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Harty
Ordered, That the request of the Chief of the
Fire Brigade be referred to the Mayor with power to act.

Ald Carson brought up the petition of Edwin R
Welch respecting taxes.

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald McIntyre
Ordered, That the petition of ER Welch be referred
to the Court of Revision.

Ald Carson brought up the petition of John House
respecting frontage.

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald McIntyre
Ordered, That the petition of John House be
referred to the City Engineer to report at next meeting of
the Council.

Ald Carson brought up the petition of William D
Graves respecting frontage.

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald Fee
Ordered, That the petition of William D Graves
be referred to the Committee on Streets to report.

Ald McGuire brought up the petition of Martin Dolan
respecting frontage.

On motion of Ald McGuire seconded by Ald Pense
Ordered, That the petition of Martin Dolan
as to frontage be referred to teh Committee on Streets
to report
