That the portion of the Report which refers to the building of
stables be struck out until such time as we ascertain what the
Council can get for the present Engine House and land and
procure a lot and erect a building in upper part of City for
same purpose the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas to procure
the information at once.
Which being put was lost
Yeas. The Mayor, Aldermen Carson, Gaskin, Gildersleeve, Mooers,
McRossie, Redden (7)
Nays Aldermen Allen, Anglin, Harty, McCammon, McDermott,
McIntyre, McKelvey, Pense, Wilson (9)

And the Original motion was carried

The Chairman from the Committee on Printing brought up
a report (Number 715 Book D Number 2) which was read and
adopted.

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Harty
Ordered That the Clerk do report to this Council the
decision of the Judge on the appeals to him from the
Court of Revision.

On motion of Ald Gaskin seconded by Ald Anglin
Ordered, That the Chairman of the Harbor Committee be
instructed to employ a competent person to strike a line for the
wharves extending into the Harbor, cost not to exceed $20 this
amount to be charged to contingencies.

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Gaskin
Ordered, That the Committee on Streets be empowered to open the
tenders for drains advertised they to award the contracts as in
their judgement they think proper.

ON motion the Council adjourned till 23rd instant.
