Ald McRossie brought up the petition of Thomas
McConville on the subject of License for his Butchers
shop. There was no action taken thereon.

Ald McGuire brought up the petition of William
Rees praying for a remission of Fine.

On motion of Ald McGuire seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That the petition of William Rees be
referred to the Finance Committee to report.

Ald Gaskin from the Committee on Finance and
Accounts brought up a Report (Number 710 Book D
Number 2) which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets and
Improvements brought up two reports Numbers 711 & 712
Book D No 2 which was read

Ald Carson moves seconded by Ald McRossie
That the reports numbers 711 & 712 be received and
adopted.

In amendment, 1st
Ald Snook moves seconded by Ald Redden
That the report on Streets and Improvements first
read be amended by increasing the Ward appropriation one
hundred dollars more to each Ward to be taken out of the
contingencies in the budget. The Mayor declared this resolution
out of order

In amendment, 2nd
Ald Pense moves seconded by Ald McCammon
That the following be addd to report number two of
the Committee on Streets - on the petition of Patrick Powers the
Ward members have permission to open a drain and collect
the frontage. The Mayor declared this resolution out of order.

In amendment 3rd
Ald Pense moves seconded by Ald McCammon
That the following be added to report number two
of the Committee on Streets. That Mr Patrick Powers be allowed
to build a drain in Frontenac Ward - the drain to become
the property of the City in lieu of frontage - to be under the
direction of the City Engineers which being put was
carried and the Reports were adopted as amended.

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water,
and Gas brought up a Report (Number 713 Book D No 2)
which was read.

Ald McCammon moves seconded by Ald McDermott
That the report of the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas
be received and adopted.

In amendment 1st
Ald Gaskin moves seconded by Ald Fee
That the portion of report of Committee on Fire, Water
and Gas which recommends thirteen dollars for each gas
lamp including repairs be changed to twelve dollars
including repairs which being put was carried
