that is if the security offered is satisfactory to the Mayor and
Finance Committee - if not the next highest whose security is satisfactory
to such Committee.
Alderman McKelvey from the Committee on Finance and
Accounts brought up a Report (Number 709 Book D No 2) which
was read and adopted.
On motion the Council adjourned.

The Meeting adjourned for want of a quorum.

Requistions from the Chief of Police and A Langan
were read and referred to the Mayor
A Communication from John Hem Esquire Manager
Gas Works was read in Re lighting Street Lamps &c
there was no action taken theron at present.
A Communmication from Messrs Kirkpatrick and
Rogers
