On motion of Ald McCammon seconded by Ald Drennan
Ordered, That the request of Mr Youlden be granted.

A communication from Isaac Noble was read accepting
resolution of Council on the subject of spreading deposits
on lot.

Ald Pense and Snook here entered.

A communication from James Agnew Esquire City
Solicitor was read a petition of John C Gardiner and
George Walker In Re vacant lot adjourning Queen street
School.

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald McKelvey
Ordered, That the communication of the City Solicitor
be referred to the Committee on Streets to report.

A communication from AP Knight Esquire Examiner
was read asking for the use of the Ontario Hall on the
19 & 20th of August instant for Matriculation Examinations
of the College of Physicians &c

On motion of Ald Drennan seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, that Ontario Hall be granted free of charge for
the use of the College of physicians and Surgeons of Ont. for the
examination of sudents therewith connected

Ald Carson brought up the petition of William Jones
and James Robb asking permission to sell fresh
meat on the ships now occupied by them on
Princess street on condition of complying with the
By Law.

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald Snook
Ordered, That the petition of William Jones and
James Robb be granted on their complying with By Law

Alderman McIntyre, Wilson, and McGuire here
entered.

Ald McKelvey from the Committee on Finance
and Accounts brought up a Report (Number 408 Book
D No 2) which was read. "Budget"

The Council went into Committee of the Whole
on the estimated Revenue Expenditure of the City
for the year 1879.

Ald Gildersleeve on the Chair

The Council resumed.

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported
the following resolutions adopted in Committee

On motion of Ald Mooers seconded by Ald Wilson
Ordered, That the sum of $100.00 be placed
under head of Public Park as appropriation instead of
$70.00
