On motion of Ald Gaskin seconded by Ald Mooers
Ordered, That this Council authorise the
Mayor to proclaim the 12th of August as a Civic Holiday.

On motion of Ald Fee seconded by Ald Mooers
Ordered, That in consideration of the standard
water privilege afforded to this City it is a great loss
to the Citizens that no public baths are available and
this Council ltherefore appoint Aldermen Gaskin, Snook,
Harty, McRossie, McGuire and the Mover as a Committee
to report at the next meeting the advisability and probable
cost of erecting the said baths with the proposed place
and plan for erection of the same.

Ald McGuire gives notice that he will at the next
meeting of this Council bring in a By Law to impose
a license on transient traders.

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald McRossie
Ordered that this Council stand adjourned
until Monday 21st instant.

The Council adjourned accordingly

The Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting.

A communication from Louis Rattner Steward
Kingston General Hospital was read requesting a
conneciton between the Hospital Building and the City
Fire alarm &c

On motion of Ald McCammon seconded by Ald McDermott
Ordered That the communication of Mr Rattner
be referred to the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas with
power to act.

A communication from George Mair Esquire was
read on the subject of interest on the City discounts
