The meeting adjourned for want of a quorum

A Special Meeting of the Council of the Corporation
of the City of Kingston was held this day. Present

His Worship the Mayor

Aldermen

Allen, Anglin, Carson, Gaskin, Gildersleeve
Harty, Irving, Mooers, McCammon,
McDermott, McGuire, McIntyre, McKelvey
McRossie, Oliver, Pense, Redden, Snook

A Communication from Messrs Macdonnell and
Mudie was read respecting injury which occured to
Margaret Stratford on the 23rd of April last.

On motion of Ald Carson, seconded by Ald McGuire

Ordered that the Communication of Messrs
Macdonnell and Mudie be referred to the Finance Committee
to report

On motion of Ald Carson, seconded by Ald Allen

Ordered that the Council do now proceed with
the general business

A Requisition from Alexander Smyth Clerk of the
Market was read requiring certain articles

On motion of Ald Snook, seconded by Ald Carson

Ordered that the requisition of the Clerk of
the Market be referred to the Market Committee with
power to act

A Communication from Alexander Smyth Cterk of the
Market was read in the subject of the By Law respecting the
sale of Butchers meat

On motion of Ald McKelvey, seconded by Ald Harty

Ordered that the Clerk of the Market be instructed
to have the provisions of the butchers license by law carried out
