Ordered that whereas charges for the use
of Vault and interment and price of lots at the
Catarqui Cemetery is too high be it resolved that
the City Solicitor do examine into the matter and do
advise the Council as to their exent of power to change
On motion the Council adjourned

A Special Meeting of the Council of the Corporation
of the City of Kingston was held this day Present
His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen
Allen, Drennan, Fee, Gaskin, Gildersleeve
Harty, Irving, Moores, McCammon, McGuire
McIntyre, McKelvey, Redden, Snook, Wilson
The mayor stated the meeting was called in case
the Council wished to decide on any Matters previous
to the arrival of His Excellency the Governor General
and Her Royal Highness the Princess Louise and for
General business
Ald Irving brought up the petition of W. C.
Horton praying he may be permitted to continue to
sell fish in his shop on Brock street &c
On motion of Ald Irving, seconded by Ald Gaskin
Ordered that the petition of W. C. Horton be
referred to the Committee on the Market to report at the
next regular meeting of the Council
Ald McKelvey & Snook brought up the petitions of
William Waddington, W. G. Elliott, W. H. Reid, John Green and L.
Harkness praying permission to be allowed to keep
Butchers sops in their respective places of Business
On motion of Ald McKelvey, seconded by Ald Harty
Ordered that the petition of W. H. Reid, William
Waddington, W. G. Elliott, John Greek and L. Harkness
be granted and that the Clerk of the Market on the
necessary Condition being complied with do grant them
the necessary Certificate to enable them to obtain a license
for the sale of fresh meat under the provisions of the
By Law regulating the the sale of
Ald Pense here entered
On motion of Ald McKelvey, seconded by Ald Snook
