On motion of Ald Pense seconded by Ald Redden
Ordered that the celebration of the Queen's Birthday
be postponed until Friday the 30th instant when the Mayor be
authorized to declare a public holiday.

Ald Drennan moves seconded by Ald McKelvey
That the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars be
granted to the Committee on Reception of Governor General and
Her Royal Highness Princess Louise

Ald Gaskin moves seconded by Ald Fee
That the cost of the Reception of the Govvernor General
and Princess Louise do not exceed the sum of six hundred
dollars.

In amendment 2nd
Ald McGuire moves seconded by Ald Allen
That the cost of the reception of their Exellencies
not exceed six hundred and fifty dollars

Ald McKelvey moves seconded by Ald Harty
That the resolution passed at a former meeting of
this Council appointing a sub-committee to make arrangements
for the reception of His Excellency The Governor General and
Her Royal Highness be reconsidered and the following be a
Committee to act in their stead, His Worship The Mayor, Aldmn Allen,
Gaskin, Drennan, Fee, Snook, McGuire said committee to have control
of the expenditure in connection with the reception the amount to
be expended not to exceed seven hundred and fifty dollars.
