Ordered that the petition of Louis Hanson be
referred to the Committee on the Market to report

Ald Allen brought up the petition of P Nugent respecting
Taxes

On motion of Ald Allen seconded by Ald Anglin
Ordered that the petition of P Nugent be referred
to the Court of Revision

Ald McCammon brought up the petitions of Robert
Forsyth and A Chown respecting Taxes

On motion of Ald McCammon seconded by Ald Pense
Ordered that the petitions of Messrs Forsyth and
A Chown in reference to Taxes be referred to the Court of
Revision

Ald McIntyre brought up the petition of W Snowden
and 34 others praying the Council to take into Consideration
the necessity of placing a Coal Oil Lamp on the Corner of
Earl and Gordon streets and also one or two lamps on said
Gordon street

On motion of Ald McIntyre seconded by Ald Fee
Ordered that the petition of WSnodgrass Snowden and others
be referred to the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas to report

Ald Pense from the Committee on Finance and Accounts
brought up a Report (Number 680 Book D, No 2) which
was read and adopted (dated March 7th)

Ald Pense from the Committee on Finance and
Accounts brought up a second report dated March 21
(Number 681 Book D, No 2) which was read and
adopted

The Chairman from the Committee on City
Property brought up a Report (Number 682 Book D No 2)
which was read and adopted (first clause withdrawn)

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets and
Improvements brought up a Report (Number 683
Book D No 2) which was read and adopted

The Chairman from the Comittee on Licenses &c
brought up a report (Number 684 Book D No 2) which
was read and adopted

On motion of Ald Allen seconded by Ald Anglin
Ordered that the Mayor, Alderman Drennan,
and the mover be a Committee to proceed to Ottawa for
the purpose of getting the right of way through the
Artillery Park Barracks for the purpose of opening up
Bagot street

On motion of Ald Drennan seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered that His Worship the Mayor on behalf
of this Council and City be authorised to tender to His
Excellency the Governor General and Her Royal Highness
the Princess Louise the respectful request that they will
be
