A Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of
Kingston was held this day Present

His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen
Anglin, Carson, Drennan, Fee, Gaskin
Mooers, McCammon, McDermott, McIntyre,
McKelvey, McRossie, Oliver, Redden, Snook
Wilson

The Clerk read the minutes of the two last meeetings

A Communication from Alfred Le Richeux] Deputy
Registrar was read stating he requires a Registry Book

On motion of the Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald McRossie
Ordered that the Communication of A Le Richeux
be referred to the Chairman of City Property with power
to act.

A Communication of Dr John Stewart was read
on sundry subjects amongst others in reference to the ferry

Ald Gaskin moves seconded by Ald Anglin
That the Communication of Dr Stewart be
referred to the Committee on Railroads and Harbors &c

In Amendment
Ald McKelvey moves seconded by Ald Carson
That the Communication of John Stewart be
lie on the table - which being was lost as was also
the original motion

A Communication from William P Minnes, Collector of
Taxes was read asking for an extension of time to collect
the taxes of 1878. There was no action taken therein

Aldmn Carson, McKelvey and Fee brought up the petitions
of R. M Rose, William Coward and Richard Evans respecting
Taxes

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald Fee
Ordered
