On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald Pense
Ordered that the following be a committee to strike
the standing Committees for the year Aldermen Carson,
Harty, Wilson, McCammon, Anglin, Drennan and the movers
said Committee to retire and report to this meeting

The Chairman from the Select Committee to strike
the standing committees for the year brought up a Report
{Number 672 Book 2 No 2) which was read

Ald McKelvey moves seconded by Ald Carson
That the report of the Committee to strike the
standing Committees for the year be received and adopted

In Amendment 1st
Ald McIntyre moves seconded by Ald Drennan
That the name of Ald McDermott be substituted on
the Finance Committee & Court of Revision instead of the name
of Ald Harty

In Amendment 2nd
Ald McCammon moves seconded by Ald McGuire
That the members of each Ward elect a chairman
for such Ward

In Amendment 3rd
Ald McDermott moves seconded by Ald McCammon
That the name of Ald McGuire be placed on the
Court of Revision in substitution for Ald Drennan
which being put was lost as also the first and second
Amendments and the original motion was carried

Ordered that the motion for the expenditure of
any money be in order until the Finance committee
shall have first reported that funds are on hand or
arrangment for the same and also that plans and specifications
be first produced to the Council before any contract for work
is ordered by any of the Committees

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald McRossie
Ordered that the Finance Committee be requested
to collect information and to report as early as practicable
as to the general business of the Council for the ensuing
year and as to what steps can be taken for the more
economical
