Taxes for 1877 and 1878 be remitted
Ald Metcalfe introduced the annual report of Mr Thomas
Conley City Commissioner for 1878 Amounts received for
Licenses

On motion of Ald Metcalfe seconded by Ald Fee
Ordered that the report of Mr Thomas Conley be
received by the Council for future reference

The Chairman from the Committee on Licenses brought
up a Report (Number 671, Book D) which was read and
adopted

Ald Gaskin introduced a By Law to amend the market
By Law which was read a first time

The Mayor left the chair
Alderman was called thereto

On Motion of Ald Metcalfe seconded by Ald Woods
Ordered that the members of this Council hereby
express their united thanks to His Worship Mayor McIntyre
for his uniform kindness and urbanity and desire to make
known to him their high appreciation of his unswerving
fidelity to the trusts of the office of first Magistrate of the
City during the year 1878 - carried unanimously all
the members standing

On motion the Council adjourned
