Ald Carson brought up the petition of William
Jones and John McCammon asking for permission to
sell fresh or Butchers meat in their shops on Princess
street above Barrie street

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald Asselstine
Ordered, that the petition of William Jones and
John McCammon to sell Butchers meat be grounded by their
complying with the By Law.

Ald Gaskin from the Committee on Finance and
accounts brought up two reports (Numbers 665 & 666
Book D number 2) which were read

Ald Gaskin moves seconded by Ald
That the reports of Committee on Finance be
received and adopted.

In amendment
Ald Carson moves seconded by Ald Fee
That the Report of the Committee on Finance
be amended by striking out the clause for rebate of taxes
for Montreal Transportation Company for the year 1876, which
being put was Carried and the original motion was Carried
as amended.

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water
and Gas brought up a Report (Number 667 Book D Number 2)
which was read.

Ald McCammon moves seconded by Ald Anglin
That the report of the Committee on Fire, Water
and Gas be received and adopted and that the report of
Chief Horsey be referred to the Committee on Fire, Water and
Gas to report.

In amendment
Ald Carson moves seconded by Ald Metcalfe
That the report of the Committee on Fire, Water
and Gas be amended by granting hte peition of Charles
Hentig and others for the creation of a Coal Oil Lamp at
the Bridge on Princess street - which being put was carried
Yeas - 10 Nays 3 - and the original motion being put as
amended was carried

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets and
Improvements brought up a Report (November 668 Book D No 2)
which was read and adopted _

In the absence of the
the Chairman of the Court of Revision. Alderman
Woods brought a Report from the Court on the petitions
of the Boat Owners and others (Number 669 Book D No 2)
which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on the Market
brought up a Report ( 670 Book D No 2) which was read

On motion of Ald. Gaskin seconded by Ald Mooers
Ordered that the report of the Committee on the
Market be received and adopted and that the balance of
Taxes
