On motion of Ald Clements seconded by Ald Wilson
Ordered that the petition of Alexander McKillop be
referred to the Committee on Licenses to report

Ald Drennan brought up the petition of Messrs Chown
and Cunningham praying for a remission of the Taxes on
personal property at their Foundry

On motion of Ald Drennan seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered that the petition of Messrs Chown and
Cunningham in reference to Taxes for the years 1878 be
granted

Ald McCammon brought up the petition of Emanuel
Sturgess praying for a remission of a portion of his
Carters license

On motion of Ald McCammon seconded by Ald Pense
Ordered that the petition of Emanuel Sturgess
be referred to the Committee on Licenses to report at the
next meeting of this Council

Ald McRossie brought up the petition of Joseph George
on the subject of Frontage from his new houses on
Wellington Street

On motion of Ald McRossie seconded by Ald Carson
Ordered that the petition of Joseph George be
referred to the Committee on Streets and Improvements to
report

Ald Carson brought up the petition of Charles
Hentig and 30 others praying for a Lamp on
Princess street Rideau ward near the stone bridge

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald Asselstine
Ordered that the petition of Charles
Hentig and thirty others be referred to the committee
on Fire, Water and Gas to report at the next
regular meeting of this Council

Ald Pense brought up the petition of Edward
McArdle and four others praying the Council will
make them at least part payment on their
broken stone

On motion of Ald Pense seconded by McCammon
Ordered that the petition of Edward McArdle
be referred to the Committee on Finance to report

Ald Pense brought up the petition of Patrick
Killeen requesting to have the drain on John street
made sufficient

On motion of Ald Pense seconded by Ald McRossie
Ordered that the petition of Patrick Killeen
be referred to the committee on streets and improvements
to report

Ald Gildersleeve brought up the petition of W. H
Elliott
