That the report of the Committee on Streets
and Improvements be received and adopted.

In amendment
Ald Walkem moves seconded by Ald Clements
That the report of the Committee on Streets be
referred back to the Committee so far as the same
relates to the opening of Gordon street and that the
said Committee be directed to report upon the expediency
of widening King street in the vicinity of the Grand
Trunk Brewery and that the CIty Solicitor be instructed
to notify the parties proposing to build on the proposed
continuation of Gordon street that the City assets title to the
same which being put was carried

brought up a Report (Number 655 Book D No 2) which
was read.

On motion of Ald Drennan seconded by Ald Clements
Ordered, That the report be received and
adopted with the modification that the pictures now in the
Firemen's Hall remain there as City Property.

The Chairman from the Committee on FIre, Water,
and Gas brought up a Report (Number 656 Book D No 2)
which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Printing
brought up a Report (Number 657 Book D No 2) which
was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on the Market
brought up a Report (Number 658 Book D No 2) which
was read.

On motion of Ald Gaskin seconded by Ald Mooers
Ordered, That the report of the Committee on Market
be received and adopted, with the modification that the
Market Scavenger be appointed by the Council by ballot.

A Communication from Lt. Col. Dewitt was read
requesting the erection of two lamps in the vicinity of the
Bridge and Site depent Barrack wall.
