Ald Metcalfe in the Chair.

The Council resumed and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause. The report was
received.

The 29th Rule was again suspended and the
By Law was read a third time and passed.

Ald Gaskin introduced a By Law to amend the
By Law entitled "A By Law to regulate the public markets
of the City of Kingston" passed 12 April AD 1867 which was
read a first time.

The 29 Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading.

The Council resumed.

The Committee rose, reported progress and asked leave
to sit again. The report was received.

Committee of the Whole on the second reading.

Ordered, That the By-Law be printed.

On motion of Ald Dupuis seconded by Ald Metcalfe.
Ordered, That the City Commissioners be requested
to suspend proceedings against the Butchers till further notice.

On motion of Ald McRossie seconded by Ald McCammon
Ordered, That wehn the Council adjourn tonight it stands
adjouned for three weeks.

On motion the Council adjourned.
