Thompson, Walkem, Woods

The Clerk read the minutes of the three last meeting

A communication from Cornelius I. Price Esquire
was read tendering his resignation as Alderman
of St Lawrence Ward

On motion of Ald Drennan seconded by Ald Clements
Ordered, That the Resignation of Alderman
Price lay on the table

A Communication from Charles Field was
read on the state of the Drain on Gordon Street
Victoria Ward

On motion of Ald. Thompson seconded by Ald. Carson
Ordered that the Communication of Charles
Field be referred to the members of Victoria Ward to act

On motion of Ald. Drennan seconded by Ald. Clements
Ordered, That His Worship the Mayor issue the
usual proclamation for the first day of July Dominion
Day as a Holiday

A Circular from J. P. McMillan Guelph was read
on the subject of an address to be presented to the Govenor
General Earl Dufferin previous to his departure

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald. Drennan
Ordered that the Communication of J. P. McMillan
be referred to the Committee on Finances to report
