Ald. Drennan moves seconded by Ald. Price
That the appropriations for Victoria, Rideau, Frontenac
and Cataraqui Wards be reduced to $1000 each, Ontario
and Sydenham Wards to $750 and Saint Laurence Ward
to $600.00 which being put was lost as was also the
first amendment and the original Motion was carried

The Chairman from the Committee on the park
brought up a report (Number 631 Book D) which was read

On motion of Ald. Dupuis seconded by Ald. Gildersleeve
Ordered that the appropriation asked for for
the use of the Park for the insuing year be granted

Ald. Drennan moves seconded by Ald. Allen
That the committee on City Property be authorised to
get new Park ploughed, harrowed and sown with grass seed &c
which being put was lost yeas 4 nays 11

The Chairman from the Committee on the Market
brought up a report (Number 632 Book D) which was read

On motion of Ald. Gaskin seconded by Ald. Mooers
Ordered that the report of the Committee on
the Market be received and adopted so far as the
same be in accordance with law and the opinion
of the City Solicitor

The council went into committee of the whole
on the second reading of the "By Law respecting Public
Works, Contracts, Purchases, Labour and Supplies"

The committee rose reported progress and asked leave
to sit again. The Report was received.

Ald Metcalfe moves seconded by Ald. McCammon
That as the City Assessors have performed their
work for the present year that they be now paid the same
amount as last year received by them which being
put was lost
