On motion of Ald. Allen seconded by Ald. Price
Ordered that the petition of George Spotswood
be referred to the Committee on Licenses to report

Ald. Price brought up the petition of William
Davies and 66 others Licensed Innkeepers of the City
praying for a reduction of their License/

Ald. Price moves seconded by Ald. Metcalfe
That the petition of William Davies and others
be referred to the Committee on Licenses to report

In amendment
Ald. McRossie moves seconded by Ald. Carson
That the petition of William Davies and
others be referred to the Committee on Finance to report
which being put was Carried and the original motion
was lost

Ald. Metcalfe brought up the petition of Samuel
Marshall praying the Council to forbear from the opening
of upper George street until the fall of the Year

On motion of Ald Metcalfe seconded by Ald. McCammon
Ordered that the petition of Samuel Marshall
be granted

Ald. Metcalfe brought up the petition of P. Fallon
praying the Council to pay him for broken stone

On motion of Ald. Metcalfe seconded by Ald. McCammon
Ordered that the petition of Patrick Fallon
be referred to the Committee on streets &c with power to act.

Ald Clements from the Committee on Finance and
Acounts brought up two Reports (Numbers 627 & 628
Book D) which were read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on City Property
brought up a Report (Number 629 Book D) which
was read and adopted.

On motion of Ald Drennan seconded by Ald Clements
Ordered, That the Committee on City Property
be empowered to employ M Nash, Surveyor &c to survey
and give the lines of several lots now in dispute &c

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets brought
up a Report (Number 630 Book D) which was read

Ald McRossie moves seconded by Ald Harty
That the report of the Committee on Streets be
received and adopted.
