Brawn and Corrigan be referred to the Committee on City
Property to report

A Communication from Dr JF Reuters was read asking
for information how to sell his invention for the manufacture of
Maple sugar

On motion of Ald. Allen seconded by Ald. Drennan
Ordered, That the Communication of Dr. Reuter be
referred to Ald. McCammon, Clements, Dupuis, and Fee to
report.

A Communication from the Rev. L. W. McVety was read
stating he will pay cash for the lot Corner of Brock and
Montreal street on the 16th instant.

On motion, of Ald. Drennan seconded by Ald. Allen
Ordered that the communication of McVety be
referred to the committee on city property with power to act.

A communication from LB Hance Esquire, Chief of
Police was read in reply to petition of John Breden Esquire
and others asking for a policeman to patrol King street Victoria
ward

On motion of Ald. Pense, seconded by Ald. Carson
Ordered, that the Mayor be requested to inform the Police
Board that an addition to the police force is not desirable also
that he request them to give the west end additional police
attention

A Communication from John O Brien was read
asking permission to assign his lease of the piece of land
near the Tete de Pont barracks to Isaac Noble

On motion of Ald Drennan, seconded by Ald. Allen
Ordered That the Communication of John
O'Brien be referred to the Committee on City Property
to report.

A Communication from James Agnew Esquire City
Solicitor was read stating that judgment was given
in favor of the city, but without costs, In Re Murphy vs
Kingston and stating he had a letter from Mr McVety
asking delay to the 16th instant to pay the purchase money
$1250 of lot Brock and Montreal street

Ald. Pense from the Committee in Finance and
accounts brought up a Report (Number 624 Book D)
which was read

On motion of Ald. Pense seconded by Ald. Gaskin
Ordered, That the Report of the Committee on
Finance and Accounts be received and adopted such this
addition that George and William Gray be paid in
full for the amount of the stone broken by them and
certified by the Chairman of the Committee on streets and
improvements.
