That the report of the Committee on Fire,
Water and Gas be laid over until the next regular
meeting of the council until the members of the
Council have an opportunmity of examining the
evidence taken by said Committee - which being put
lost, and the original motion being put was
carried.

A Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of
Kingston was held this day. Present

His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen
Allen, Anglin, Asselstine, Carson, Clements,
Drennan, Gaskin, Gildersleeve, Metcalfe, Mooers,
McCammon, McRossie, Pense, Walkem, Wilson,
Woods

The Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting.
A Communication from M. Lavell, Esquire MD was read
asking for the use of the City Hall on the 29th of April
and following days for the annual professional examination
of the Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons
of Ontario.

On motion of Ald Drennan seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That the communication of Dr Lavell in
regard to the use of the City Hall for Examinations &c
be granted free of charge.

Communications from Henry Brown and D Corrigan
were read offering to lease for a longer period the shops
they at present occupy in the City Buildings.

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That the communications of Messrs
Brown
