performed to the satisfaction of the City Engineer and to be
done as soon as possible and that security be given by said
Davidson for the complete and entire removal to the satisfaction
of the said Engineer of all said buildings and every material
part thereof.

Ald Walkem brought up the petition of John Breden
and eight others praying that a policeman be detailed on a
permanent beat between the City Park and Alwington
Avenue on King street (he having his his residence in the
immediate neighbourhood to prevent nuisances occurring in
the locality.

On motion of Ald Walkem seconded by Ald McRossie
Ordered, That the petition of John Breden and others
be referred to the Police Commssioners.

Ald McCammon brought up the petition of John A
Brady praying that as he lost a valuable horse by an
accident in breaking a gas lamp he will not be
held libable for the damage done to said lamp &c

On motion of Ald McCammon seconded by Ald Harty
Ordered, That the petition of Mr John A Brady be
referred to the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas to report

Ald Pense brought up the petition of Alexander
Sloan and 4 others praying payment for stones broken
in 1877.

On motion of Ald Pense seconded by Ald Metcalfe
Ordered, That the petition of Mr Alexander Sloan
and others be referred to the Committee on Streets and
Improvements to report

Ald Price from the Committee on Finance and
Accounts brought up a Report (Number 620 Book D)
which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Wharves
and Harbor brought up a Report (Number 621 Book D)
which was read and adopted

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets
and Improvements brought up a Report (Number
622 Book D) which was read and adopted as
amended by the following resolution.

On motion of Ald Pense seconded by Ald McCammon
Ordered, That the report be amended by referring
the petition of Messrs Webb Robinson and others to the
City Engineer for a report.

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire,
Wqter and Gas brought up a Report (Number
623 Book D) which was read

The Chairman withdrew the cause of the Report
in Re claim of Water Works Company
