On motion of Ald McCammon seconded by Ald Woods
Ordered, That the petitions of P Nugent, Fraser George
and AR Macdonnell in reference to taxes be referred to the Court
of Revision.

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets and
Improvements brought up a Report which was read.

On motion of Ald Walkem seconded by Ald Dupuis
Ordered, That the further consideration of the report
of the Committee on Streets be deferred until the Finance
Committee shall report as to whether and how the funds which
would be required for the construction of the drains therein
recommended to be constructed can be obtained and that the
subject be referred to the Finance Committee to report.
The Chairman from the Committee on Licesnses brought
up a Report (Number 618 Book D) which was read and
adopted - Yeas 13 Nays 6.

Ald Drennan introduced a By Law to confirm certain
sales of real property by Corporation of the City of Kingston
which was read a first time.

On motion of Ald Drennan seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That His Worship the Mayor be the Director
and Representative from this Council for the City's interests
on the Board of the Kingston and Pembroke Railway as per
10th section of 49th chapter of said Railway Act.

On motion of Ald Allen seconded by Ald Price
Ordered, That the City Engineer be directed to keep
a correct account of all stone laid upon the streets from the first
of January last in the several wards of the City and the charge
against the respective ward appropriations.

On motion of Ald Dupuis seconded by Ald McCammon
Ordered, That His Worship the Mayor be
requested to call a special meeting of the Council
not later than Thursday evening next to receive and
decide upon the Street Committee report referred to the
Finance Committee and to adopt some measures to
continue the public work of the City.

The Council went into Committee of the whole
in the second reading of the By Law to repeal section
four 4 of the By Law to open up certain streets
passed on 20th day of November 1877.

The Council resumed.

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause in Committee of
the whole as amend. The Report was received

The 29 Rule was suspended and the By Law
was read a third time and passed.

On motion the Council adjourned.
