Ald McRossie moves seconded by Ald CArson
That the report of the Committee on STreets and
Improvements be received and adopted.

In amendment 1st
Ald Pense moves seconded by Ald McCammon
That the report of the Committee on Streets and
Improvements be adopted with the amendment that the size
of the Gordon street drain be referred back for their reconsideration
and action as desirable.

In amendment 2nd
Ald Drennan moves seconded by Ald Allen
That the report of the Committee on Streets
in reference to drains be referred back to Committee
in order to bring before this Council specifications and
plans for the keeping in view that said drains be of such
dimensions to be effectual - which being put was lost as
was also the first amendment and the original motion being
put was carried Yeas - 11 Nays - 10.

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water and
Gas brought up a Report (Number 617 Book D) which was read and adopted.

Ald Woods here left.

On motion of Ald Price seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That the City Engineer be requested
to attend all regular meetings of the Council to give
any information that may be required from time to
time.

On motion of Ald Drennan seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That a copy of new map be
presented to the Aldermen of 1878 also any of the
members of 1877 not new in this Council.

Ald McRossie introduced a By Law to repeal
section 4 of the By Law "to open up certain streets"
passed on the 20th day of November 1877 which was
read a first time.

On motion the Council adjourned.
