On motion of Ald Dupuis seconded by Ald McCammon
Ordered, That the Communication of the County
Council of Huron be referred to the Committee on the
House of Industry to report.

Communicaitons and Petitions from the Reverend
TA Parnell and others respecting taxes were submitted
and referred to the Court of Revision.

The Mayor submitted to Council a Communication
of Charles Rappe offering to give free of charge to
the Corporation such parts of his land as may be required
for the extension of Centre street to Montreal street provided
that this be done next year.

Also a Plan of Centre street and description of
the proposed continuation of said street.

Ald Pense brought up the petition of John O'Brien
and 100 others praying for the opening of Centre street
from Patrick to Montreal street.

On motion of Ald Pense seconded by Ald McCammon
Ordered, That the petition of John O'Brien and
others with the plans and other papers be referred to the
Committee on Streets and Improvements to be reported on.

Ald Pense brought up the petition of William
McQuaid praying for a remission of a certain amount
of a fine imposed on him.

On motion of Ald Pense seconded by Ald Carson
Ordered, That the petition of William McQuaid be
referred to His Worship the Mayor to take such steps as
he may deem just in the matter.

Ald Carson brought up the petition of William Snowden
and 16 other residents of Gordon street praying that your
petitioners be relieved from paying more than twenty five
cents per foot frontage.

On motion of Ald Carson seconded by Ald McIntyre
Ordered, That the petition of William Snowden and
others be referred to the Committee on Streets to report.

Alderman Harty from the Committee on Finance and
Accounts brought up two reports (Numbers 607 and 608
Book D) which were read and adopted as amended by
the following resolution.

On motion of Ald McDermott seconded by Ald Allen
Ordered, That that portion of the Finance Report
relating to Hewton and Hughes be referred back for
reconsideration.

A Communication from James Agnew City Solicitor was
read on opinion of Dr Henderson Cataraqui Bridge North.

Ald Gaskin from the Committee on Streets and IMprovements
brought up a Report (NNumber 609 Book D) which was
read and adopted.

Ald Mooers from the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas
brought
