Marshall praying the Council to take into consideration
the opening of Upper George street.

On motion of Ald Metcalfe seconded by Ald McCammon
Ordered, That the petition of Samuel Marshall be
referred to the Committee on Streets to report.

Ald McCammon from the Committee on Fire, Water and
Gas brought up a Report (Number 585 Book D) which
was read and adopted.

Ald Gildersleeve from the Committee on Finance
and Accounts brought up a Report (Number 586 Book D)
which was read and adopted.

On motion of Ald Drennan seconded by Ald Gildersleeve
Ordered, That the City Engineer be instructed not to
expend any more money than the sums appropriated
for each Ward, and provided for in the budget- Engineers
not to permit any work in any of the Wards when all the
appropriations for said Wards have been expended unless
he receives special instrucitons from this Council.

Ald Carson introduced a By Law to amend the By Law
to regulate the public markets of the City of Kingston passed
12th of April 1869 which was read a first time.

The 29th Rule was suspended and the Council went
into Committee of the whole on the second reading.

The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
second reading of the By Law in Committee of the whole.
The report was received.
The 29th Rule was again suspended and
the By Law was read a third time and passed.

On motion the Council adjourned
