Last year's Distinguished Scholar-Teacher Committee did not
really have the opportunity to consider you for a 1987-88 award
because of our activity while you were out of the area. As I
indicated in my letter of 18 February 1987, we could reactivate
your nomination this fall and consider you for a 1988-89 award.

If you would be in a position to accept an award for 1988-
89, if offered, please let me know in the near future so that the
Committee may consider you this fall.
