NEUVILLE St. VAAST 1918 Jan 3
As per Oper. Order no. 1, the Batt. moved to VANCOUVER
CAMP, CHATEAU DE LA HAIE. Transport Lines remaining at
O'DILLON CAMP, CARENCY. Working parties doing heavy
work at night putting up a large quantity of double
apron wire. Weather:- Ground again covered by
snow, but comparatively mild. Very clear sky. Planes
active. Some of the officers and men went to Pantomine. RBO'S

CHATEAU de la HAIE 4
Batt. at Chateau de la Haie. Hun planes observing over
CARENCY in morning. A large number of the officers &
men went to the Pantomine, put on in the 4th Div's
Theatre by the 4th Divisional Concert Party. Aladin
in France. It was splendidly put on and created
great enthusiasm, and deservedly so, as there was
not one dull moment in the two hours and over
that the show lasted. It fulfilled its purpose to
the limit and its a safe bet that the men present
were absolutely without a thought of war or what
war meant whilst the show lasted, and thus ob-
tained thorough relaxation.
Weather:- Forenoon cold, but bright and clear.
Fairly mild in afternoon. RBO'S
