Confirming telephone messages.
Report on activity 10th Brigade front as seen from positions
South of SOUCHEZ RIVER.
During the morning a certain amount of activity was
noticed in the vicinity of GREEN CRASSIER and from the
movement seen it was very difficult to ascertain whether
we held the stronger positions of the CRASSIER or the enemy.
Although the air was bright and clear, observation was
not particularly good, nd in certain sections it was
hard to determine to whom men seen belonged.
About 9 o'clock, a party of our troops between thirty
and forty strong were seen to march from about N.20.c.90.
10. down the face of the CRASSIER disappearing at about
N.20.c.90.00. These men looked as if they might have
been prisoners, but no conducting party was noticed.
ANTELOPE TRENCH appeared to be in the possession of the
enemy. We apparently hold a post in the neighbourhood
