The text is flanked by comm. on the right.
Capitals, also spaces with guide letters. Marginal
sections letters. The headlines give the name of
the cantica (Inferno - Paradiso) + the number
of the canto with wooducts (100) in outline + numerous fine
woodcut intials (white on black ground, with white ornamental background scrolls)
- Text 44 lines, 100 woodcuts about 3 1/4" square. The cuts are
very much of the same character + quality as in the ed of Benalius
and Capcasa (March 1491) 18 Canzoni of Dante appear
after verso 315.

Petrus de Piadio was in partnership with B. Blavius + A.
Torresanus from 1480 to 83. After that date he set up his
own press + was publishing books until the end of the 15th C.
into whose hand the equipment of Jenson had fallen
after the death of the latter.
