 AGREEMENT

THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this 19th day of July, 1925, by Harold Noice, of the STEFANSSON ARCTIC EXPLORATION & DEVELPMENT COMPANY, of Vancouver, B.C., the party of the first part, and ALEXANDER ALLEN, owner of the gas schooner, "DONALDSON", party of the second part.

W I T N E S S E T H:

That said party of the second part hereby agrees to hand over to the said party of the firt part the said schooner, "DONALDSON", for the purpose of making a trip to WRANGELL ISLAND and other Northern lands, and for the purpose of transporting goods and chattels of said party of the first part and employees of said party of the first part.

That said party of the second part hereby agrees to furnish said party of the first part with a crew, comprising one CAPTAIN, one ENGINEER, and one DECK HAND, which shall navigate said schooner "DONALDSON" as directed by said party of the first part.

That said party of the secod part agrees to furnish said party of the first part sufficent provisions for said crew, for navigating season, and 2,000 gal. distalate and 50 gal. engine oil, and two tons of goal, for use in galley.

That said party of the second part hereby agrees to turn over to the said party of the first part, said schooner, "DONALDSON", completely equipped and in sea-worthy condition, on or before the first day of August, 1923.

It is hereby agreed that all monies specified in the following provisions shall be deposited in the Miners & Merchants Bank of Nome,

Alaska, on or before the day of loading.

In consideration of the agreements of said party of the second part to be kept and performed, the said party of the first part hereby agrees that upon the day of loading said schooner "DONALDSON" for WRANGELL ISLAND trip, to pay the sum of ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS in cash, which shall be payment in full for the first twelve days, and to pay thereafter, in weekly installments at the rate of Eightythree ($83.00) Dollars per day, until thirty-one (31) days have elapsed, unless the said schooner "DONALDSON" shall have returned before the end of said thirty-one (31) days, in which case the said charter money shall stop upon return of "DONALDSON" to NOME.

FURTHERMORE, in the event of the "DONALDSON" not returning before the end of said thirty-one (31) days, the charter rate for all days thereafter until the return of saind schooner "DONALDSON" to Nome, shall be reduced to Fifty-six ($56.00) Dollars per day.

It is also agreed that if through any cause whatsoever, the said "DONALDSON" does not return to Nome before the end of the present navigating season, the said party of the first part agrees to pay at the close of present navigating season Six Thousand ($6,000.00) Dollars in cash, minus all accrued charter moneies plus operating expenses for voyage, whereupon the said schooner "DONALDSON" automatically becomes the property of said party of the first part.

FURTHERMORE, the said party of the first part may at any time purchase said schooner "DONALDSON" by making a payment of Six Thousand ($6,000.00) Dollars minus all accrued charter monies plus
