With regard to the $1500.00 which you sent to pay off my loan and the deposit of $500.00, I have issued fifteen more shares, making a total issued to you to date of 97 shares, as you will see from the statement enclosed.
With regard to the mail for the boys, I dispatched about two weeks ago several parcels of letters and papers, which I have been collecting since they left. They are

made up very securely and I addressed them in care of
Commander A. R. Crawford, Stefansson Arctic Exploration & Development Co. Ltd., Wrangle Island, via Seattle, and Nome Alaska,
with a note to please hold at Nome for first boat sailing for Wrangel Island. I sincerely hope they will reach their destination safely and in good time.
I trust the statements enclosed are clear to you and that you will be able to increase the bank balance in the very near future to enable me to pay the salaries.
Yours faithfully, John Anderson Secretary.
