No open water in sight, until just about dark when
fair indications of water appeared a long way to the East.
Stayed indoors. Cloudy & cold. Strong breeze from the East.

Galle and I hauled a load of wood. Mar Crawford
and Maurer cut wood and got ice. Last night was
the coldest it has been since we have been on the
island -40°. No tracks of any kind seen. Cold, clear
and light creeze from the East. If weather permits
Crawford and I may go to the other camp tomorrow for sone
some things that we are out of here and to see if
there are any fox tracks up in that direction

a bad head ache so did not go to the other
camp. Cold & clear.

Dug out the dog house and cut wood. Just before
dark water sky appeared to the South & East. If
weather permits will try sealing tomorrow. Now (11 P.M)
calm, clear, & cold.

fresh breeze from the East so did not go out. Clear & Cold
