shops not being located there, where the report of the chief Engineer and Superintendant of the Road shows conclusively by their reports that the Roads would save anually thousands of dollars by locating at Water Valley, that being about equal distance between Canton and Jackson Tennessee. the object of the opposition is to turn out Genl West the president - which I am opposed to doing but may not be in every respect as effient efficient as some other - but he is scrupulously honest and I have ever found him a gentleman of the strictest integrity
