A warm cloudy day. We
all staid at home. We
had a nice mess of turnip
greens and did enjoy them.
This evening Mrs. Booker
and Ray come.
Alma and Lonnie Bennett
come. Alma brough[t]
me a fruit cake and
a box of candy and
two pounds of butter.
I am so glad of
all of the things.
We did not have any
butter for several
days. That is so little
that we did not want
to eat it.
I am so glad to be
remembered by the
children. Wish I could
see them all once
more.
