A very hot day. No rain
to stop work. There is a
cloud rising now. I do
hope it wont be very
bad. Ben and Jim helped
Norman work on his
fire boxes this evening.
I went to Mr. Bookers
this evening. Mrs.
Booker was not at
home. She was gone
to preaching.
Mr. Emerson's girls and
a Miss Reynolds come
here this evening. I was
glad that they come
to see Edna. We had
some nice mellons
for them. Nellie
made some jellie
this morning. There
is plenty of grapes
now. William Brumfield
was at Kate Harvey's
yesterday.
