A hot day. No rain yet.
Today the men plowed
in the crop. I don't know
what. Ben went to
Strait Stone for salt.
I sent 7 doz eggs.
All the children
went with him.
I done the same olde
thing. Got dinner and
churned. I cooked snaps.
The last mess until
some growes. Cooked potatoes
and beets. Picked a half
gallon of black berries.
Had them with cream.
I went and picked
a gallon of berries and
canned them. Berries
are fine this time.
I am so tired of
staying here and so
much expected of me.
If I was young and
strong it would be better.
